MENTORING


Mentoring

Emma can provide one-on-one mentoring for anyone who wishes to be guided through to publication. She is willing to share information about her own career path, as well as provide guidance, motivation, emotional support, and role modeling. Emma is attentive, dependable and authentic.

There are a number of options…

Initial 30 minutes meeting FREE – either skype or face-to-face or telephone. Subsequent meetings (@2 hours) $120 per hour.

To work through writing and illustrating a picture book to book launch and beyond $1500 (this includes access to the online training course and 5 x 2 hour meetings AND a copy of the text book ‘Child Writes: Creating a Children’s Picture Book is Child’s Play’)

Emma MacTaggart has been a Volunteer CYA Conference Competition Judge for the past six years, and continues in to devote her time to this competition during the 2015 judging season.
Each year, Emma has completed to a significantly high standard, a considerable numbers of judging works entered into our competition, and by utilise our online judging forms has ensured that there is a consistent level of judging thought sections with the large number of works judged. She has shown an ability to remain on target with the comments section, not impose her own personal views onto the competition entrants work, and also remained inside the tight deadline required.
Emma has also been part of changing and updating the judging questions each year as they change to reflect a shifting industry.
Thank you to Emma for her help and we are so grateful to have Emma on board each year, as a Volunteer CTA Conference Competition Judge.
